The Microbiology Laboratory provides testing services to support the diagnosis, prognosis, and monitoring of infectious diseases, with a focus on accurate, reliable, and clinically useful results.

Service Scope

• Bacterial, fungal, and mycobacterial (TB/NTM) cultures
• Antimicrobial susceptibility testing according to the laboratory's approved standards
• Microscopy, including Gram stain, AFB, modified AFB, and KOH
• PCR testing for tuberculosis where available
• Guidance on specimen collection, storage, and submission
